Sir Mick Davis
Sir Mick Davis has extensive capital markets and corporate transactions experience. During his career, he has raised almost US$40 billion from global capital markets and completed over US$120 billion of corporate transactions. Some of his successes are the creation of the Ingwe Coal Corporation in South Africa; the listing of Billiton on the London Stock Exchange; the merger of BHP and Billiton into the largest diversified mining company in the world; the initial public offering of Xstrata plc on the London Stock Exchange in 2002 and Xstrata’s subsequent acquisitions of MIM Holdings and Falconbridge Limited, amongst others and most recently the successful merger of Xstrata and Glencore. Early in 2015 he and his partners successfully closed the X2 Resources fund after raising almost US$6 billion from a combination of sovereign wealth, pension and private equity funds.
Group CEO & Co-founder
Simon is the co-founder of ARIE Capital Group and Group CEO of ARIE Finance. A globally experienced Investment and Business Development professional. He has completed more than 100 Corporate Finance / M&A / Advisory transactions since 2005. Lived and worked in Europe, Middle- East, Asia and Africa over the last 30 years with both Strategic and Operational positions in banking, industry, defence and logistics prior to becoming an entrepreneur, dealmaker and advisor.
Board director & Co-founder
Stephen is the co-founder of ARIE Capital Group. A lawyer with Banking and Industry experience and for 20 years a leading European player in the film financing industry. He founded Future Films in 2000, and since then he has been involved in raising over £2 billion for film productions. In 2011 he created Taurus Asset Finance as an alternative asset finance house focusing on real estate, patent exploitation as well as media.
Jerry is a Chartered Accountant that started his career with KPMG. He has a strong background in Operations, Finance and IT and has helped found, develop and grow two Swiss based Banks as COO. He now serves on several Boards and Audit Committees. He advises Family Offices and Investors on governance and investment as well as Financial Institutions looking to adopt a digital banking solution.
Hugues is the CEO of Blue Life Limited, a real estate company developing property in Mauritius. He graduated from Harvard, INSEAD and the ESSEC. He is one of the prominent leaders of the Mauritian private sector and a shareholder of IBL the largest industrial concern in Mauritius.
Former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Joel represented the President of the Republic, the Government and each of the Ministers of the Republic of Mauritius in France. He was successively a tax specialist, General Manager of Tourism, Special Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister. He is currently the Chairman of Hermès Advisory, a consulting firm based in Mauritius, Paris and London.
Gilles has spent 20 years in various senior corporate finance and capital markets roles in London, first in bulge bracket investment banking (12 years in Deutsche Bank), and then in setting up a successful corporate finance boutique within Sunrise Brokers (sold to BGC Partners in 2016). He has worked on over 100 transactions to date, raising and investing over Eur200 billion for his clients across EMEA, US and Asia.

Managing Director, Middle East & Africa (MEA)
Aisha oversees ARIE Finance MEA operations and also sits on the supervisory Board of ARIE Finance’s French entity. Aisha is also the first woman appointed Managing Director of a fully regulated Investment Bank in Mauritius. Aisha is a seasoned manager with a strong background in audit (DELOITTE & BDO), Financial Service, Private Equity and more recently, co-founder of an innovative Fintech. She is a qualified accountant and holds an MBA with Merit from Imperial College London.
Managing Director, Europe
Yaron is managing Director of the European office based in Paris. He is responsible for managing and developing ARIE Finance across Europe. Yaron has over 25 years’ experience working in major financial institutions, including 15 years at Moody’s, where he was Managing Director of the Global Managed Investments Group. He has also launched his own fintech venture and developed a consulting business in the areas of fintech and digital transformation. Yaron is a qualified lawyer in Israel and the State of New York, and is a graduate of HEC-Paris (EMBA), Cornell Law School (LL.M.), New York University (Finance) and Tel-Aviv University (LL.B).
Chief Marketing Officer
James is responsible for all corporate communication as well as building the global brand. Having started his career over 20 years ago, James has conceptualised, created, and executed a range of global and local marketing and communication strategies. He has worked with some of the world’s best known and most exciting technology, financial and professional services brands including Philips, BT, Oracle, KPMG, AT&T, Eli Lilly, RBS, UBS and Caxton.
Asif is the Finance Controller of ARIE Capital Group and oversees all aspects of finance and operations of the firm. Prior to joining ARIE Capital Group in 2019, Asif was the Finance Manager at Taurus Asset Finance. Before this, he worked at a private single-family office with over USD 1 billion under management in alternative investments, real estate and private equity.
Chief Strategy Officer
David joined ARIE as Chief Strategy Officer after three years (and an IPO) at Farfetch, a global marketplace and technology platform for luxury. As VP of Strategy and Innovation he built a team focused on technology investments, platform strategy and strategic projects including Farfetch’s founding membership of Facebook’s Libra / Diem international cryptocurrency and payments network. Prior to Farfetch David spent eight years at Google, where he ran scaled partnerships teams. Earlier in his career he founded technology startups (with one exit) and was a strategy consultant in the EMEA digital sector.
Business Intelligence Manager
Ilan transforms data into insights that drive business value. His role is to identify trends that can help ARIE FINANCE makes business decisions to modernize and improve processes within the organization. He holds a Master in Industrial Economy from Paris Sorbonne University, an MBA from Essec School of Business and a Digital certification from Google. He has worked with Advertising and Digital Agencies for the last 10 years.
Chief Business Development Officer
Douglas joined ARIE in October 2021, bringing with him over 30 years’ leadership experience in both the commercial and social impact sectors. He has a track record of driving customer acquisition and adoption by diverse stakeholders by developing solutions to complex issues, creating broad networks and building trusted relationships globally. Doug spent six years as Group Development Director and Advisor to the Global MD of Investec Bank Plc, working with Private, Corporate and Institutional clients of the international specialist bank. He was CEO of The Portland Trust, an international NGO driving economic development in the Middle East.
Head of Compliance and Legal
Christian is responsible for overseeing legal and compliance practices across all regions for ARIE Finance. He has more than 30 years of experience working as a legal counsel in financial institutions and was previously General Manager, Head of Legal and Compliance for Banque Delubac & Cie, an independent financial institution offering specialist banking services. Christian is also a renowned expert in compliance, banking and tax law, having lectured on the topics at a number of leading French universities.
Head of Innovation
Laurent has a very unique blend of skills in IT Architecture, Deep cybersecurity (including at governmental level) and large IT Projects Management with an operational background design and implement complex technical system environments.
